July 4th is INDEPENDENCE DAY, fly the American Flag July 5 & 6, Saturday and Sunday is train weekend at Largo Central Park. The Historical Society will be grilling hot dogs and hamburgers as a fund raiser each day. Come join the fun, cook, sell, or sit and chat a while ..... "Grilling by the Train Depot in the park. 9A.M. to about 3P.M. each day. August 2008 August 2 & 3rd is train weekend at the park. For the second month the Historical Society will be manning the grills as a fun raising event. Come join the fun, and help the society. Each day from 9AM to 3 PM by the train depot in the park. SEPTEMBER 2008 September 1 is Labor Day, be sure to fly the flag! September 6, Open house at the Historic Feed Store, open to the public. September 8, the first meeting of the fall for the Largo Historical Society. Meetings start at 6:30PM in the Feed Store in Largo Central Park. See the pot luck dinner schedule below for what to bring. Note: Work days are typically scheduled the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of each month at the Feed Store, come help with this project from 10 AM - 2 PM |
The Society meets on the second Monday of each month * at the historic Feed Store located at 295 Central Park Drive behind the Largo Cultural Center. A pot-luck supper begins at 6:30 p.m. followed by guest speakers and a business meeting. We extend a warm invitation for all to join us for some old-fashioned fellowship.
On the first Saturday of each month *, the Society opens the Feed Store to the general public from 10:00 to 2:00 p.m. We invite you to view our displays of historical photos and memorabilia. Come sit a spell in our old-fashioned rockers and chat with our historians about Largo’s past.
