Welcome to the Largo Area Historical Society. We thank
you for visiting us and trust your stay will be both pleasant and educational.
Chartered under Florida laws on October 17, 1973, the Largo Area Historical
Society is a non-profit corporation whose purpose is to foster the appreciation
and understanding of Largo’s rich historical heritage by providing education,
research, and preservation of historically significant places, documents and
items.
The Society meets on the second Monday of each month * at the historic Feed
Store located at 295 Central Park Drive behind the Largo Cultural Center.
A pot-luck supper begins at 6:30 p.m. followed by guest speakers and a business
meeting. We extend a warm invitation for all to join us for some old-fashioned
fellowship.
On the first Saturday of each month *, the Society opens the Feed Store to
the general public from 10:00 to 2:00 p.m. We invite you to view our displays
of historical photos and memorabilia. Come sit a spell in our old-fashioned
rockers and chat with our historians about Largo’s past.
